A Note from Matt

Hey, I’m Matt.

Over the past decade, I’ve been blessed by a remarkable journey of faith that led me to walk away from a promising career, write a book, speak in front of thousands of people and be involved in a number of business endeavors. But most importantly, doing all of that while valuing my marriage and raising five kids amid the challenges of life, entrepreneurship and faith.

People often ask me, “What do you do?”

I hate that question because it’s impossible to put me in a box — I’ve experienced corporate success, given a TEDx Talk, been on an Amazon documentary, played live music gigs, hosted a home church, been on the radio, interviewed business leaders and started a business with my son, but I’ve also sat with everyday folks and listened to their story, ministered to the homeless and invested countless hours into aspiring business people who need help getting started in their career.

But the common denominator in all of those things is people. I simply love helping people. And, I have the unique ability to bring inspiration, encouragement and wisdom to those environments that elevates everyone involved. So, my goal with this site is to simply connect with and invest in people.

For that reason, there’s a number of resources that you’ll find here — from speaking services, to consulting and coaching packages, to articles and Faith in Business resources. Take some time to look things over and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to connect further.

I’m sincerely glad you’re here.

Matt

Great site, Matt! And what a great family! Wish we were in the same town. I think we’d be great friends – many similar interests and purpose. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better here, though. 🙂

      Chance,
Thank you so much for taking the time to read! I caught a little bit of you on Robert’s YouTube page and then have seen a few of your posts via Twitter as well! I would love to stay in touch, who knows where these roads may lead! Keep fighting the good fight my man! Have a great holiday weekend!

You are an inspiration my friend… I read everything you write and you have motivated me to get started on a project that I have let little details become road blocks and allowed me to procrastinate. I’ve added you to a Directory that I am building http://www.optiosystems.com/mattham-com … I’ve been lucky in always having everything I have ever needed although I don’t have many needs… Like that Zig Ziggler saying “If you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want.”… What I want is to help everyone get what they need. It’s a bottom up strategy from family, friends, community, small business, family farms, local non profits… a groundswell of ideas and drive that will ignite the changes we need that everyone can have what they need. Thank you Matt!!!

      Michael,
Thank you brother! That’s awesome to hear about your new site! Please keep me in the loop with it. Zig is the man and very wise; you are wise to follow. Michael, although we only worked together for a short time, I always appreciated the fact that, I don’t think I ever saw you without a smile on your face. That takes a lot of strength and shows incredible opportunity. Keep fighting the good fight!

Hahaha! You should see my wife’s 😉 (JK)

      Thanks for stopping by brother!

That moment was so spontaneous when MJ was greeting me at the finish line, I just picked him up and threw him on the shoulders. If you knew me 5 years ago, there’s no way I would have been in the position, mentally or physically, to ever think about doing that.

On another note, I’m working out a Nashville trip summer or fall – I’ll be in touch!
