How to Help Others Take Action

Two years ago, I reached out to one of my inspirations, Andy Andrews, for advice on how to help others take action. He answered the question on his podcast, In the Loop. (You can listen to that episode here)

Essentially, he told me, “Tell people the truth that is the truth and take massive action yourself.”

What culminated from that advice was my book, Redefine Rich.

Just this week, someone posted this photo to Facebook of their road-trip reading list. It is my book alongside Andy Andrews’ New York Times Best-Seller, The Traveler’s Gift, and Robert D. Smith’s 20,000 Days and Counting.

This picture is a God-wink for me. More than that, it is incredibly humbling and inspiring.

But I’m not sharing it because what it’s about for me. It’s what it means for you.

I felt compelled to record a podcast episode about it to encourage you to take massive action on that thing in your life. That thing that is on your heart. That thing that keeps you up at night.

I want you to take massive action on that thing.

There’s a beautiful passage of scripture from the Old Testament where Nathan, King David’s advisor, tells him this:

“Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it, for the Lord is with you.” 2 Samuel 7:3

I share those words with you today.

Take a minute and listen. I think you’ll gain clarity for your next step.

I just ordered 20k the other day and added the Travelers Gift to my cart for my next book order on Amazon. Then saw the picture and now your post and see I was in good company on my reading list. Read Redefine a couple times already 😉

Hey, Jon. Good to hear from you. Thanks so much, brother. How are things your way?

Doing well but busy as always – My mother in-law passed on the 4th. She was 90 and she was ready to go. She was very confident in Christ. The past five weeks were stressful but God was faithful. Over 10 years ago we moved in with my wife’s parents to take care of first her dad who passed about 7 years ago and then her mom as her heath declined. Clearly a new season is ahead for our family.
