Josh Groban Sings “O Holy Night”

Listening to Josh Groban sing “O Holy Night” makes me want to run around like George Bailey shouting “Merry Christmas” giving people the impression that I’ve gone crazy. Maybe I have…

In my opinion, it doesn’t get more amazing than this.

Beautiful Song. Beautiful Voice. Beautiful…

At the 3:45 mark, my hair stands up on the back of my neck EVERY time!

As I read through these lyrics, I try to fully grasp the truth and meaning in each line.

This one stands out:

“A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices…”

Yesterday, I shared my prayer for Christmas; That a weary world would encounter the thrill of hope. I know that is when my weary soul rejoices; when it collides with hope.

“O Holy Night”

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!

Truly He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother.
And in his name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
With all our hearts we praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we,
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!

What is your favorite Christmas carol?
